Physical Tension and Stress and its Effect on Retinitis Pigmentosa and Peripheral Vision Loss.
Whether we accept it or not, there are some practices that we are doing that can be harmful to our already decreased vision. We should be aware that there are some ways to help with vision loss and the way we live our newfound lives.
A good place to start is to take away stress and anxiety especially when dealing with Retinitis Pigmentosa and peripheral vision loss and this video will elaborate further. How to relieve your eyes from such situations and some holistic approach towards a healthier vision and self-healing? It may be though medical science but there are some immediate things that can be sought to address the problem.
Two key things that will help with secondary symptoms of Retinitis Pigmentosa and peripheral vision loss:
1. Release stress and tension on the neck and shoulders area.
Though it sounds easy, relaxing the neck and shoulders area are much harder. The reason for that is some people had developed that as a repeated pattern.
In tensing the neck and shoulders area, our brain gets overwhelmed that it somehow affects our peripheral vision.
2. State of anxiety or the “Fight or Flight” response.
If we worry too much, stress ourselves out too much, we are triggering ourselves to a high flight and flight response mode. In doing so, it narrows down our vision, and that is the exact opposite of what we are trying to achieve if we have RP or peripheral vision loss.
Being in the “fight-or-flight response or in a state of anxiety, you are actively disengaging the peripheral vision around you, and you are choosing to focus more on that central vision.
One way to work out with anxiety is by disengaging the central vision and start to get used of the peripheral vision. Holistic approaches in healing suggest that though you think that you cannot heal your eyes. Plus, the pessimistic idea that we should wait for a miracle cure or gene therapy to have it fixed.
Try to consider the things that you have control over today. You can start to work with alternative processes to somehow alleviate your vision problems. As my expertise in wellness, I suggest that whenever you are in a busy street, and you get anxious, why not try to step aside, take a deep breath, relax and allow your eyes to adjust.
Another thing is, the improvements will show not only in your vision but also the quality of your life and you can slowly start controlling your anxious patterns in more effective ways. Focus on your breath a little bit more and allow yourself to aware of the peripheral vision around you rather than having habitual stress responses.
