Face Massage

Face massage promotes blood flow to the head and eyes. It also relieves strain within the facial muscles developed from the poor visual habit of squinting.

  1. Skin roll the forehead all over, both horizontally and vertically.
  2. With both hands make small circles with your fingertips all over the forehead. You can vary speed, direction and size of the circles.
  3. Using a middle or fore finger place pressure in between the eyebrows, just at the top of the bridge of the nose.
  4. Hold for 5 deep breaths.
  5. Now place another finger from the other hand and apply pressure with both fingers on the same place.
  6. Maintaining this pressure, slide the fingers along the eye brow towards the ear avoiding the temple. When doing this try to feel for the grooves and contours underneath your fingertips. Stop when you reach the top of the ears.
  7. Place your fingers back to the center of the forehead, except this time apply pressure just above the center of the eye brows.
  8. Maintain the pressure and slide the fingers outwards to temples, making sure you reduce pressure as you get there.
  9. Repeat this sequence moving your finger slightly up each time until you reach the top of the forehead.
  10. Using the fingertips make larger circles with the cheeks and move down the jaw line to the chin. Then move back up again, repeating a few times.
  11. Now perform large skin rolls with the cheeks and jaw line, paying attention to any tight or sore areas.
  12. Finally, repeat any of the previous techniques that felt particularly good for you.
