Light Exercise

Depending on the severity and type of your condition you will want to choose certain activities that will help keep you active and moving. Its suggested that we should perform some sort of light exercise 30 minutes a day. This does not mean going for a 10 mile run! In fact it could be anything from walking to jogging, cycling, gardening or simply playing with the kids.

By doing light exercise you are helping to keep the heart and lungs strong, helping to improve circulation and getting oxygen to your cells. Because bone building cells (osteoblasts) respond to weight bearing exercise, even light exercise will keep the bones stronger. Furthermore, the joints need movement to stay healthy. So by performing the minimum of 30 minutes of light exercise a day you promote the joint mechanisms, such as synovial fluid production, to function more efficiently.
