ESH #43 | 5 Steps to a Successful New Year’s Resolution: Be Specific

5 steps to a successful new years resolution A New Year brings new beginnings. However, for new beginnings to take place we need to make them happen. This involves an individual making an active decision on something that they want to improve upon from the previous year. Once they have made that active decision, they can then figure out a way to achieve that improvement.

Of course this can be many things, but generally it involves getting rid of something or gaining something. This year we want you to make a New Year’s resolution to gain better eyesight.

There is a good reason that people joke about making resolutions, because many of us break our resolution within a few days, weeks or months. However this is not necessarily the fault of the individual. The resolution itself could have a lot to answer for. There is a way to create a New Year’s resolution which would give you a much better chance of being successful and in the case of a vision improvement give you a much better chance of improving your eyesight.

In this podcast Will and Richard discuss the principles behind the SMART method of creating goals. In particular they focus on S; which stands for SPECIFIC. Being specific helps you to find out exactly what it is you want to improve in your vision. Being specific will help you achieve your vision goal and lead you towards getting the best possible results from your eye exercises.

In the second half of the podcast they answer a question from the Envision Facebook Fan Page regarding blurry vision during physical exercises.

Thank you Trevor we’re very pleased you like the site! We know how you feel with the trips to eye hospitals, but at least they inspired us to look for another way to help our vision. Great to hear you have set yourself a goal, now you just have to figure out how you’re going to get it 🙂

Keep us posted on your progress and we wish you all the best success.
